Blue Pine , is a type of wood that is streaked with a natural blue-grey stain that is caused by a pine fungus. The fungus is carried naturally tree to tree by the pine bark beetle. The tiny beetles do not weaken or contaminate the wood, and both them and the fungi are actually burned away during the kiln drying process, so what we have after processing is a strong and beautiful piece of blue pine lumber. Blue Pine is an optional wood available in all our styles.
