Casket Description: These are our "Basic" style of Cherry caskets.

Burial boxes that are very attractive yet simple in design. Assembled utilizing solid wood lumber throughout make these caskets a sensible alternative to the typical, cloth over pressed wood (cardboard), or 18-20 ga. steel (sheet metal) caskets the funeral homes offer.

Wood Characteristics: Cherry is a closed-grain hardwood that has a smooth texture with flowing grain patterns. Cherry wood has a pinkish hue and can exhibit shades of white, yellow, green and gray. Small spots, holes and flecks are typical.

Cherry wood takes a finish well, however light to natural finishes are recommended.
